2. Mack Wilson
After the 2019 season, it was evident that the Browns were going to let Joe Schobert walk in free agency. Prior to signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, Schobert combined for 380 tackles, eight sacks, seven forced fumbles, and six interceptions.
With Schobert no longer manning the middle of the defense, both Mack Wilson and Sione Takitaki are projected to have increased roles for the Browns in 2020. Wilson, Cleveland’s fifth-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, flashed a ton of upside in his rookie season.
Altogether, the Alabama product would tally 82 tackles, seven pass breakups, and an interception. Given the fact that he’ll see even more time on the field next season, Wilson could easily be the Browns’ most-improved player from a season ago.
