The Cleveland Browns are dealing with a rash of injuries on both sides of the ball heading into their Week 13 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Offensively, the team is likely going to be without quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who was placed in concussion protocol.
Veteran Joe Flacco looks to be in line to replace him instead of P.J. Walker, who has struggled when called upon this season. On the defensive side of the ball, the Browns could be without their best player, star pass rusher Myles Garrett.
Garrett suffered a shoulder injury in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos that required him to be in a sling after the game. That made everyone hesitant about his availability going forward, but that disappointment has turned to cautious optimism.
Heading coach Kevin Stefanski seemed optimistic about the chances of Garrett being out there this weekend. Earlier this week, the Browns star was considered day-to-day, which was an encouraging sign all things considered.

While all signs are pointing toward Garrett being in the lineup, until he is officially cleared to play, there is still a chance that he will miss Sunday’s game. That would be a brutal blow for a Browns team that is already without so many key players. Running back Nick Chubb, quarterback Deshaun Watson and left tackle Jack Conklin have all suffered season-ending injuries.
The injury to Garrett could not have come at a worse time. Coming off a loss to the Broncos, the Browns now have a record of 7-4 on the season. They are currently holding onto a Wild Card spot in sixth place in the AFC, but with how congested things are, a loss could send them tumbling down the standings.
The Rams are in the thick of the playoff race themselves in the NFC, so you know they will bring everything they have on Sunday night. The Browns will have maximum effort as well, it just may be short-handed if Garrett cannot go.
