The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went on the road in Week 15 to face the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. This was a huge game for both teams as it would have a major impact on their standing for the postseason.
The Buccaneers are not only fighting for a Wild Card spot but the NFC South title as well. With the New Orleans Saints defeating the New York Giants, Tampa Bay needed a victory to keep pace in the playoff picture. And, that is exactly what they did.
Tampa Bay went on the road and defeated Green Bay 34-20, extending their winning streak to three games. In the process, quarterback Baker Mayfield put together a record-setting performance to lead the team to victory.

Mayfield was on fire all afternoon. He completed 22-of-28 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns. Four different players caught a touchdown, but Chris Godwin was not one of them. He was dominating between the end zones, catching 10 passes for 155 yards.
Just how special of a performance was this for the Buccaneers’ starting quarterback? According to NFL on CBS on X, formerly Twitter, Mayfield is the first visiting quarterback to ever record a perfect passer rating of 158.3 against the Packers with a minimum of five passes attempted.
That isn’t the only record and feat Mayfield accomplished on Sunday afternoon. According to ESPN Stats & Information, he is the first visiting quarterback to throw four touchdowns and complete 75+ percent of his passes at Lambeau Field ever, including the postseason.

That epic performance could not have come at a better time for Mayfield and the Buccaneers. Week 15 was a must-win game for the team, as a loss would have dropped them one game behind the Saints in the divisional race and pretty much would have ended any chances of making a run at a Wild Card spot.
The Buccaneers and Mayfield will be looking to keep the positive momentum rolling in Week 16 when they host the reeling Jacksonville Jaguars. After that, a Week 17 matchup against the Saints, which could determine the division champion, will be held. If Mayfield can put together performances resembling what he did against the Packers, Tampa Bay should find plenty of success.
