Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and tight end Travis Kelce expressed their appreciation for the atmosphere during last Sunday’s 27-24 divisional playoff victory against the Buffalo Bills.

However, it seems that not all Bills fans left a positive impression on the Kansas City players.

Travis Kelce opened up about some of the behavior shown by Bills’ fans ahead of and during the game.

“There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium, man. Understandable it’s a football game, the Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? One thousand percent. Did it get a little extra? One thousand percent.”

In particular, tight end Travis Kelce mentioned that there were some inappropriate comments made about the players’ families, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Additionally, some Bills fans threw snowballs at Mahomes and other visiting players, but the Chiefs had the last laugh by securing their sixth consecutive trip to the AFC Championship Game.

On a lighter note, Kelce gained attention on Sunday when he made a “heart hand” gesture towards a suite where his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce (Travis’ brother) were located after he scored a touchdown. Swift is known for using this gesture during her stadium performances.

“Had to spread the love, baby, always gotta spread that love. I get it. Coming into a hostile environment, I respect it, but I just wanted to make sure [they] knew it wasn’t mutual. I don’t hate you guys like you hate us. It’s all love, baby.”

As the Chiefs prepare to face the Baltimore Ravens at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium this coming Sunday for a chance to advance to Super Bowl LVIII, Travis Kelce and his teammates should anticipate similar treatment from opposing fans.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook’s Wednesday afternoon odds, the Chiefs are currently listed as 3.5-point underdogs against the Ravens.

It remains uncertain whether Swift will attend Sunday’s game, as her international tour dates are not scheduled to resume until February 7th.
