Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is the latest Bengals wide out to take issue with the Buffalo Bills making excuses after last year’s playoff meeting.

Cincinnati beat the Bills in the Divisional Round of the postseason back in January, but some Buffalo players felt that the result may have been different if it didn’t snow.

Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd already expressed his thoughts on the subject earlier this week, and Chase followed up with some remarks of his own with a rematch with the Bills on top this Sunday.

“Yeah, I remember that,” Chase said, via Jeremy Rauch of FOX 19. “That’s something crazy to say.”

Back in May, Chase took to social media to respond to claims made by former Bills receiver Isaiah McKenzie, who said things would have been different if the game were played in a dome.

Chase tweeted, “(That was) my first time ever playing in (the) snow bro. just gotta play at the end of the day.”

The Bengals thumped the Bills by a score of 27-10 in that contest and moved on to the AFC Championship Game, where they ultimately lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cincinnati got off to a rough start this season, going 1-3 over its first four games and looking like it was headed for a miserable campaign with a hobbled Joe Burrow. However, Burrow has found some life over his last three games and has led Cincy to three straight wins to push the team’s record to 4-3 and vault the Bengals back into playoff contention in the rugged AFC North.

Meanwhile, Buffalo is 5-3.

Ja’Marr Chase in particular is enjoying a fantastic 2023 thus far, as he has already logged 60 catches for 656 yards and four touchdowns through his first seven games.

The 23-year-old has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons and is angling for a third straight appearance this year.
