Bengals’ Joe Burrow Is Only QB Besides Peyton Manning To Do This

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has certainly flipped the script this season and is now in the elite company of legendary NFL superstar Peyton Manning.

Burrow led the Bengals to a pivotal win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, going 31-for-44 with 348 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

That stat line made Burrow the only other quarterback in league history besides Manning to complete at least 75 percent of his passes (minimum 150 attempts) while throwing for at least 10 touchdowns over a four-game span (h/t OptaSTATS).

What makes this stretch for Burrow all the more incredible is when you consider how he started the season.

The 26-year-old entered the 2023 campaign battling a calf injury that he sustained back in training camp, and you could see the effects of it early on.

Over the first four weeks, Burrow totaled just two touchdowns and a couple of interceptions as Cincinnati got off to a 1-3 start. The Bengals looked more like a team that could finish with a top-five draft pick than an actual playoff contender.

But then, Burrow began to get healthier, and the wins started to stack up for Cincy along with it.

The Bengals have now reeled off four victories in a row, and each of their last three wins have come against opponents with winning records: the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers (on the road) and the Bills on Sunday evening.

Joe Burrow, who made the Pro Bowl last year, has amassed 10 touchdowns as opposed to just a pair of interceptions during Cincinnati’s current winning streak.

On the season overall, the LSU product has thrown for 1,861 yards while completing 66.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 90.6.

The Bengals are now 5-3 and will aim to continue their winning ways when they host the Houston Texans next weekend.
