Damarious Randall, Safety
In an interview with the Browns’ team website last Friday, defensive end Myles Garrett said the following of Cam Newton:
“It just looks like he’s kind of exerting himself more than usual to get off those longer throws. He’s forcing the ball.
“We’ve got to take advantage of that. If he’s going to give us some or he’s going to throw some our way, we’ve got to make sure we give our offense good field position or maybe even score with it.”
Garrett a Co. did a solid job of pressuring Newton on passing plays and limiting his effectiveness on the ground. And while his fourth-quarter interception was thrown right to Damarious Randall, the Browns’ fourth-year safety still had to make the catch, which thereby sealed the game:

Speaking of Randall, he also led the team in tackles with nine (8 solo). It was his second-best output of the season next to the 12 tackles (11 solo) he recorded in a 26-23 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 21. Meanwhile, his interception was his fourth pick of the season and the 14th of his career.
