The Cleveland Browns picked up a massive win over the Chicago Bears this past Sunday, and afterward, head coach Kevin Stefanski praised quarterback Joe Flacco for his performance.

“Obviously, Joe made some unbelievable throws there when we needed them,” Stefanski said, via the Browns’ official YouTube account. “Just can’t say enough good things about how he played in that fourth quarter.”

While Flacco certainly didn’t play his best football for much of the game, he made big plays when it counted, including throwing a 51-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper to tie the game with just over three minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Cleveland would then ultimately win the game on a field goal.

Flacco went 28-for-44 with 374 yards, a couple of touchdowns and three interceptions in the Browns’ pivotal 20-17 win.

It was Flacco’s third start of the season after being signed to Cleveland’s practice squad last month. The Browns finally signed him for the remainder of the year last week. He has thrown for 939 yards, seven touchdowns and five picks while completing 57.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 81.6 while going 2-1 thus far.

Flacco, who played his collegiate football at the University of Delaware, was originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 18th overall pick of the 2008 NFL Draft.

He spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Ravens, helping lead the team to a Super Bowl title during the 2012-13 campaign.

While he never made a Pro Bowl, Flacco remained a steady presence for Baltimore until finally being replaced by Lamar Jackson midway through 2018.

Now 38 years old, Joe Flacco is aiming to guide the Browns to the playoffs.

Cleveland is certainly in a good position at the moment, as it is 9-5 and holds the first Wild Card spot in the AFC right now.

The Browns will take on the Houston Texans next Sunday before facing the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals to close out the regular season.
