How did it all go wrong? The Browns provided Baker Mayfield with all the necessary weapons to succeed, instead, he took a step back. Mayfield was just shaky the entire season. He’s a cocky quarterback but it seems that after the first game, that level of cockiness was gone. The light that he had under him in the 2018-19 season was no longer there. The reason for that is still unknown. Was it a lack of confidence, playcalling or personal reasons?

Armed with superior talent around him, Mayfield even made one of the best wider receiver duos appear average. Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry are two different types of receivers. Beckham can stretch the field while Landry moves the chains one catch at a time. On the year, Landry caught 83 passes for 1174 yards and six touchdowns. On the other side, Beckham caught 74 passes for 1035 and four touchdowns. Two receivers with over 1000 yards and yet, Mayfield sill managed to stink the field up. In 16 starts, Mayfield passed for 3827 yards, 22 touchdowns and threw 21 interceptions while completing 59.4 percent of his passes.
