2. Make Big Splash Mid-Season

Jerry Jones is always looking to make noise around the league. Whether it is changing staff, making a questionable comment to the media, or making a big splash move, Jones is fond of being a topic of conversation. Jones knows better than anyone that his team is expected to win. Adding a big name player could go a long way in accomplishing that goal.

Entering the offseason, the Cowboys needed help in the secondary. They added Trevon Diggs out of Alabama in the second round of the draft. Dallas has also been linked to New York Jets’ safety Jamal Adams. They were listed as one of Adams’ preferred trade destinations when he requested one out of New York. There is mutual interest with both sides so who knows what could happen during the season.

Whether it is Adams or Jadeveon Clowney, who is still a free agent, the Cowboys could use a big name defensive player to take their unit to the next level. This would solidify the team as contenders in the NFC.
