3. CeeDee Lamb Wins Offensive Rookie of the Year
The Cowboys did not expect Lamb to be there when they were picking at No. 17 in the draft. It turns out that the Las Vegas Raiders had their eye on Henry Ruggs and the Denver Broncos opted for Jerry Jeudy. Lamb fell right into the lap of the Cowboys and they did not hesitate to add him to the team.
There were three quarterbacks and two wide receivers taken before Lamb. Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, and Justin Herbert were all taken in the top six. After throwing 60 touchdowns at LSU, Burrow was made the No. 1 overall pick and is expected to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Lamb might have something to say about that. He finished with 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games at Oklahoma last season. He is a big play receiver that will be productive right away.
If the first bold prediction comes true and the Cowboys lead the league in points, that means Lamb has a chance to have a big rookie season. Dallas landed a player who was viewed as the best receiver in the class and they will use him a ton within the offense.
