The Dallas Cowboys haven’t been the most consistent team in the NFL this season, but in spurts, they have looked like a potential Super Bowl contender. They have been doing a good job overall of taking care of the inferior teams on their schedule, and they certainly did just that on Sunday.

Taking on the New York Giants, who are suffering through an awful season, they won in resounding fashion, 49-17, and they looked just about as dominant as some thought they could be when the season began.

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had 11 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown, making it the third straight game he has had at least 11 receptions and 150 receiving yards. It led teammate and star pass rusher Micah Parsons to say on his podcast that Lamb is one of the top three wideouts in the NFL, and according to Parsons, it isn’t even a discussion.

On the season, Lamb has 975 receiving yards, which puts him third in the league in that category, and he’s also tied for the sixth-most receptions with 68.

Many would argue that instead of Lamb, Justin Jefferson should be in that top three ranking along with Tyreek Hill and A.J. Brown. While Jefferson has 571 yards in five games and is second in receiving yards per game, he has been out for about a month with a hamstring injury.

One welcome development for Dallas in Week 10 was the play of Brandin Cooks, who was acquired during the offseason in order to be a legitimate WR2 next to Lamb. Cooks has struggled all season, but against New York, he hauled in nine balls for 173 yards and a touchdown. Perhaps that performance will get him going moving forward.

If Dallas is to have any real shot at winning its first Super Bowl since the 1995 season, Cooks will need to provide more production than he was prior to Week 10.
