What To Expect From CeeDee Lamb In Week 1 Against The Rams
The Cowboys are not going to be shy about throwing their rookie wideout onto the field and getting him into the action. He will be the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart and will fit perfectly into the slot.
Lamb is going up against a talented Rams’ secondary. However, he will not have to see much of Jalen Ramsey if any. Los Angeles also has Troy Hill on the roster, but no one outside of Ramsey is going to lock anyone down.
Dak Prescott is out on a mission this season. He did not receive a lucrative contract extension from the Cowboys this offseason, which did not make him happy. Some even believe he could end up leaving Dallas at some point.
With Prescott on a mission and the Rams’ focusing the majority of their attention on Amari Cooper, Lamb has a chance to put up a big game.
When everything is said and done, Lamb will end up showing the superstar potential that everyone saw in him leading up to the draft. He will catch eight passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
That kind of debut will make the rest of the league take notice. Any defense the Cowboys face for the rest of the year will have to pick their poison. They will have to try to slow down three wide receivers with legitimate star talent.
Expect to see CeeDee Lamb put together a massive rookie season. The Cowboys may not have “needed” another wide receiver, but they will be very happy that they went ahead and took him.
