The Dallas Cowboys could use some help along their offensive line, especially after the departure of long-time left tackle Tyron Smith.

Could the Cowboys turn to the Denver Broncos for their solution?

Lou Scataglia of Predominantly Orange thinks Dallas is a fit for Broncos tackle Garett Bolles, suggesting that the Cowboys trade a third-round draft pick to Denver in exchange for him.

Bolles is entering the final year of his deal, making him a rather ideal trade candidate for a rebuilding Broncos squad.

As a matter of fact, trade rumors swirled around Bolles at last season’s trade deadline, but Denver ultimately chose to hold on to him.

The 31-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Utah, was selected by the Broncos with the 20th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Bolles has been Denver’s starting left tackle ever since, and aside from the 2022 campaign where he played in just five games due to injury, he has been a very reliable lineman for the club.

He has not made any Pro Bowls, but he did earn a Second-Team All-Pro selection in 2020, which has been Bolles’ best season to date.

The Lehi, Ut. native is slated to make $16 million in 2024, which could be kind of difficult for the Cowboys to navigate given their tight salary cap situation.

Dallas could always turn to the draft for some offensive line help, so sending a third-rounder to the Broncos for a rather expensive tackle may not be the best way for the franchise to go.

But, we’ll see if the Cowboys decide to place a call to Denver about Bolles in the coming weeks.
