Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott wants to ensure that his club maintains its current energy heading into its Week 15 matchup with the Buffalo Bills.
The Cowboys may very well be the hottest team in the NFL right now, as they have won five straight games and blew out the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East showdown last weekend.
However, the Bills represent a tough challenge on the road, and Prescott understands that.
“Right now, it’s about taking the momentum that we’ve created from these last few games that have been at home, and understanding that we’ve created a standard and expectations for ourselves — on offense, defense, special teams and really as a whole in playing complementary football,” Prescott said, via the Cowboys’ official team website. “We have to feed off of success and be there for when, maybe, one side isn’t doing what they expect to do. I want to take this momentum [and make] sure our communication is at an all-time high on offense, going into a hectic environment and great atmosphere with great fans, I hear.”
Prescott has been on an absolute tear of late, going four straight games without an interception and totaling 15 passing touchdowns and just one pick during Dallas’ current winning streak.
As a result of his stellar play of late, Dak Prescott has now become the favorite to win the NFL MVP award this season. Through 13 games, he leads the league with 28 touchdown tosses to go along with 3,505 yards. He is also completing 69.3 percent of his throws while posting a passer rating of 107.5.
The Cowboys have been thoroughly dominant recently, scoring over 40 points three times in their five-game wining streak and hitting 33 points in each of the other two contests.
Dallas is 10-3 and sits in first place in the NFC East as a result of owning the tiebreaker over the Eagles.
All of that being said, Buffalo is fighting for its playoff life going into this weekend, so this may end up representing the Cowboys’ biggest test yet.
