Cowboys’ Dak Prescott Sends Message After Losing To Dolphins

The Dallas Cowboys fell to the Miami Dolphins for their second straight loss this past weekend, but quarterback Dak Prescott does not seem concerned.

Going into the matchup with the Dolphins, there was a running narrative that the Cowboys were not exactly adept on the road.

Well, Dallas lost away from home yet again with its loss in Miami, dropping the club to 3-5 on the road this season.

But Prescott is remaining optimistic.

“The confidence is high with this group,” Prescott said, via the Cowboys’ official YouTube account. “We understand that we can (beat good teams on on the road) … and we will.”

Well, Dallas may very well have to do just that come playoff time, as the chances of the Cowboys nailing down home-field advantage throughout the postseason are very slim at this point.

Dallas blew a late lead in the Dolphins defeat, as Miami kicked a field goal for a 22-20 win as time expired. Because of the fight the Cowboys showed, Prescott was left feeling encouraged.

“Hell, this whole narrative change is off of, unfortunately, one play out there,” said Prescott. “The guy misses the field goal, we’re in here talking about a completely different outlook, so let’s not lose sight of that.”

Of course, that is not going to matter in the win column, and if “one play out there” ultimately causes Prescott and Co. to lose in mid-January, moral victories won’t matter. The Cowboys will be sitting home until next season.

Prescott went 20-for-32 with 253 yards and a couple of touchdowns in South Beach, carrying the ball five times for 25 yards.

On the season overall, the 30-year-old leads the NFL with 30 touchdown passes while also throwing for 3,892 yards and just seven interceptions. He is completing 68.4 percent of his passes and boasts a passer rating of 104.2.

A couple of weeks ago, Dak Prescott appeared to be the leading candidate for MVP, but back-to-back losses to the Buffalo Bills and the Dolphins may have knocked him out of the top spot.

The Cowboys are 10-5 and will battle the Detroit Lions next weekend. They will wrap up the regular season when they head on the road to battle the Washington Commanders on Jan. 7.

Dallas sits one game behind the Philadelphia Eagles for first place in the NFC East.
