Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons may hate the Philadelphia Eagles, but that isn’t stopping him from giving his honest opinion on the defending NFC champions.

On his own podcast The Edge, Parsons explained why he feels the Eagles are the best team in the NFL right now, mentioning the unstoppable “tush push,” their experienced offensive line and their elite talent on the defensive end as supporting evidence.

Parsons even went as far to say that he doesn’t think Philadelphia has any weaknesses.

The Eagles are 6-1 and are coming off of an impressive 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins this past weekend, which was by far their best victory of the season yet.

Philly is tied with the Kansas City Chiefs—the team it lost to in the Super Bowl last February—for the best record in the NFL and appears well on its way to defending its NFC East crown.

The Eagles did look rather questionable over their first six games, eking out wins over clearly inferior teams and then losing to the New York Jets by a score of 20-14 in Week 6.

However, the Jets loss may have been exactly what Philadelphia needed, as it used that defeat as fuel to come out and defeat a previously 5-1 Dolphins club the following Sunday.

The Birds’ secondary appeared to be a spot of vulnerability for them, but as Parsons pointed out, they recently acquired star safety Kevin Byard in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.

If there is one area the Eagles do need to improve, it’s in taking care of the football. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has already committed 10 turnovers this season, and that’s after he turned the ball over eight times in all of 2022.

Aside from the loss to New York where he threw three interceptions, Hurts’ penchant for giving the ball away this season hasn’t come back to bite Philly just yet, but it’s certainly something to monitor as we get deeper into the year and closer to the playoffs.

The Eagles will take on the Washington Commanders this Sunday before getting set to battle Micah Parsons and the Cowboys in Week 9.
