Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is impressed with what he has seen from Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Parsons and the Cowboys will face Love and the Packers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs this Sunday, and ahead of the matchup, Parsons was very complimentary of the Green Bay signal-caller.

“You can tell he played under [Aaron] Rodgers,” Parsons said, via Todd Archer of ESPN. “Some of his mechanics, some of his movements and reads. And fearlessness. You can tell he learned a lot from Rodgers.”

Love, who played his collegiate football at Utah State, was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He spent the first three years of his career as Rodgers’ backup, but last offseason, Green Bay traded Rodgers to the New York Jets, clearing the way for Love to start.

Love responded by throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 64.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 96.1 this season.

It wasn’t always smooth sailing for Love in his first full campaign under center, as he went through a rather brutal six-game stretch between Weeks 4 and 10 when he recorded seven passing touchdowns and nine picks. The Packers went 1-5 in those games. But from Week 11 and beyond, Love totaled 18 touchdowns and just one interception while leading Green Bay to a 6-2 mark over that span.

The Packers were 3-6 heading into Week 11, and their playoff hopes looked bleak. But thanks to the superb play of Jordan Love, they got hot down the stretch and were able to nab the final Wild Card spot in the NFC.

Meanwhile, Parsons racked up 64 tackles, 14 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery this season, earning his third straight Pro Bowl selection.

Micah Parsons and the Cowboys went 12-5 and won the NFC East.
