The Dallas Cowboys could use another pass rusher in support of Micah Parsons, and Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports sees a potential target for them.
Former Miami Dolphins defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah.
The Dolphins released Ogbah late last week in a cost-cutting move, making him a free agent. Ogbah will surely have his fair share of potential suitors, but you would have to think he would want to sign with a contender.
Could the Cowboys represent a landing spot for him?
Ogbah is coming off of a 2023 campaign in which he played 15 games and logged 20 tackles, 5.5 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.
The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Oklahoma State, was originally selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He spent the first three years of his career with the Browns, with his best season coming during his rookie campaign when he registered 53 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
After his stint in Cleveland, Ogbah joined the Kansas City Chiefs for one year, where he posted 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 10 games while helping the Chiefs win a Super Bowl.
Ogbah then linked up with Miami in 2020, where he resided for the last four seasons.
The Nigerian native broke out in his debut campaign in South Beach, racking up 42 tackles, nine sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He then posted similar numbers in 2021, finishing with 41 tackles, nine sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 12 passes defended.
However, in 2022, Ogbah was limited to just nine games due to injuries, and during that time, he totaled a meager 11 tackles and one sack.
Ogbah wore out his welcome with the Dolphins, but perhaps a move to Dallas could reignite his career.
