Doctor Reveals Concerning Injury Observation Of Falcons’ Kyle Pitts

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has not looked quite right over the first four weeks of the season, logging just 11 catches for 121 yards with no touchdowns.

Sports medicine physician Jesse Morse thinks the issue with Pitts is his health.

Pitts suffered an MCL injury last season and underwent surgery, limiting him to just 10 games in 2022. However, Morse feels that the damage Pitts sustained went beyond his MCL, stating that he feels Pitts may also have a torn meniscus.

Morse added that he had concerns about Pitts’ health back in late July.

Pitts, who played his collegiate football at the University of Florida, was selected by the Falcons with the fourth overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, making him the highest drafted tight end in league history.

He showed exactly why Atlanta used such a high selection on him during his rookie campaign, hauling in 68 receptions for 1,026 yards and a touchdown during en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The following season, however, Kyle Pitts was a massive disappointment, as he caught just 28 passes for 356 yards and a couple of scores before bowing out with the knee injury.

The Falcons are 2-2 thus far this season and are coming off of a Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in which their offense looked lifeless in a seven-point performance.

Atlanta has not made the playoffs since the 2017-18 campaign, when it lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round. The year before, the Falcons made it all the way to the Super Bowl before infamously blowing a 28-3 lead over the New England Patriots in what ended up being an absolutely gut-wrenching loss.

The Falcons will head back home where they will play host to the Houston Texans next Sunday.
