Dolphins Receive Positive Update On Tyreek Hill Ahead of Week 16

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins were able to defeat the New York Jets in Week 15 30-0 without the help of star wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Hill was injured during the team’s Week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football when his ankle was rolled up on during a tackle.

Hill played sparingly the remainder of the game against the Titans but was not involved as much as he normally was in the offense. The Dolphins blew a two-touchdown lead late in the fourth quarter of that game without Hill in the mix.

While they were able to defeat the Jets with ease, they will need all hands on deck to face off with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. Luckily for them, Hill seems to be trending in the right direction to get back on the field.

NFL News & Rumors: Tyreek Hill & Miami Dolphins Updates

According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, Hill was back at practice with the team on Thursday. It was the first time he has been back on the field, which is a good sign when it comes to his availability for Sunday afternoon.

Along with Hill, Wolfe reported that left tackle Terron Armstead, cornerback Xavien Howard and running back De’Von Achane all returned to practice as well.

Despite missing one game, Hill is still leading the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns with 1,542 and 12. He has caught 97 passes on the season as he still has an outside shot at taking down Calvin Johnson’s all-time receiving record and surpassing the 2,000-yard mark, which was his goal coming into the season.

NFL News & Rumors: Tyreek Hill & Miami Dolphins Updates

After seeing what the Buffalo Bills did against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, the Dolphins offense has to be licking their chops to get on the field in Week 16. The Bills moved the ball with very little resistance, which is a good sign for Miami, who has the most explosive offense in the NFL.

Even without Hill, they lit up the Jets’ strong defense. With him trending toward being back in the lineup, the Dolphins are going to give the Cowboys all that they can handle over the weekend.
