Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Reveals Goal For 2023 To Make NFL History

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins

After spending the first six seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, and catching passes from Patrick Mahomes for a majority of it, people wondered if Tyreek Hill would fare in a new setting. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins during the 2022 offseason and some doubters popped up.

Those doubters were proven wrong, quickly, as Tyreek Hill cemented his standing as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Despite some quarterback issues with Tua Tagovailoa suffering scary head injuries and Teddy Bridgewater getting hurt, thrusting seventh-round rookie Skylar Thompson into the lineup, Tyreek Hill had a huge 2022 campaign.

He set career highs with 119 receptions and 1,710 yards, adding seven touchdowns as well. That resulted in a seventh straight Pro Bowl nomination for Tyreek Hill, as he finished ninth in the MVP voting and fourth in the Offensive Player of the Year standings.

While his first season on South Beach was electric, Tyreek Hill has even bigger plans for Year 2. He recently revealed what his massive goal is for the 2023 season; he wants to record the first 2,000-receiving yard season in league history.

“I got obviously the most accurate QB in the NFL, I’ve got one of the best head coaches in the NFL, and also my position coach is a monster also.”

It certainly sounds like Tyreek Hill is happy with the Dolphins, as he also signed a record-breaking contract upon landing with the team. That is certainly a lofty goal to have, but with how much of an emphasis teams are putting on the passing game nowadays, it isn’t as far-fetched of a goal as it would have been in the past.

As long as Tagovailoa remains healthy, the sky’s the limit for this Miami offense. They could become an even more dangerous unit should they bring on running back Dalvin Cook, who was released by the Minnesota Vikings late last week.

Having a capable running game will only open things up for Tyreek Hill and the passing game. If teams have to start stacking the box, it will result in more one-on-one opportunities as Jaylen Waddle has also proven capable of some monster performances if not given enough attention by defenses.
