75+ receptions
Of course, one of the positives of Sanders seeing a more prominent role in the Eagles offense — especially if you have him in fantasy football — is that he’ll see more targets in the passing attack. Even in his first season in the NFL, Sanders proved that he can become a viable target for Carson Wentz.
Despite giving way to Howard and Scott at times, Sanders was able to snag the 12th most receptions (50) among running backs in 2019. Furthermore, he finished with the most receptions among rookie running backs. On top of that, due to the team’s injuries at wide receiver, Sanders was the Eagles’ third-leading receiver last season.
During the 2020 NFL Draft, Philadelphia added Jalen Reagor, John Hightower, and Quez Watkins at wide receiver. Not to mention, the Eagles have Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, DeSean Jackson, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside vying for targets.
Even though all of those guys will have featured roles in Philadelphia’s aerial attack, while it won’t be an easy feat, Sanders could haul in 75+ receptions in 2020. Over the course of the 2019 campaign, only five running backs had 75+ receptions.
