Fantasy Football: 5 potential risky wide receiver plays in Week 1

3. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

A.J. Green is one of the best fantasy football wide receivers of his generation. He is used to being an early-round draft pick but that is not the case heading into 2020. The Bengals were the worst team in football last season and it is hard to imagine they will be an offensive juggernaut this season.

Green has not played since Week 13 of the 2018 season. This will be his first game playing with rookie quarterback Joe Burrow and first game coached by Zac Taylor.

Cincinnati will be matched up against the secondary of the Los Angeles Chargers. Casey Hayward and Chris Harris will lead a strong group for Los Angeles. This does not bode well for Green.

Green is a player worth having on the bench because his ceiling could be high. It could also be extremely low. Green will have to work his way into lineups and prove that he can consistently produce in the Bengals’ offense.
