I easily start by putting Garoppolo outside my top 12 fantasy quarterbacks for 2020. With some others in the early part of that range I’d prefer, based on upside, I bump into the back-half of my top-20. A pessimist, which I’m not necessarily, might put Garoppolo outside their top 20 fantasy quarterbacks entering the season. I’ll put him at QB19.

Garoppolo is a suitable QB2 in fantasy. There’s comfort in knowing exactly what you’ll get for 11 or 12 games, one way or another, with big yardage or multiple passing touchdowns in a game but rarely both.
