Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has always employed a multiple backs approach in his rushing attack. Last year, Jordan Howard took the bulk of the carries early on, before he got hurt and Sanders really came into his own.
With the departure of Howard, many believed the Eagles would add another veteran back to the mix. As of right now, they haven’t added anyone to the running back group. So, it looks like it’ll be a combination of Sanders, Boston Scott and Corey Clement handling the backfield duties.
Sanders is clearly the most talented of the group. Scott is probably best suited for a change of pace role and he’s someone who Pederson can throw to effectively out of the backfield. Clement has shown some promise over the years, but injuries have prevented him from reaching his full potential.
Although Pederson prefers using multiple backs, Sanders may just be too good to not give an ample amount of carries. Expect Sanders to get at least 15 touches per game in 2020.
Sanders could be one of the most overlooked backs in fantasy this season. He could bring some great value to your fantasy team if you’re able to snag him in one of the later rounds.
