Antwann Hill had initially committed to play football for Deion Sanders at Colorado, a commitment that lasted merely two months. Now, as the 2025 quarterback recruit finds himself back on the market, one school appears to be putting in more effort than others to secure his commitment. That school would be the Florida Gators.

According to reports from On3, the Gators are actively pursuing Hill to join their recruiting class.

“We know that Antwann Hill is certainly in that group of three or four top guys that Florida is looking at.”

Hailing from Warner Robins, Georgia, Hill holds nearly 30 offers, with prominent programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Penn State, and Tennessee all vying for his attention.

Florida seems to have an advantage in the race for Hill, given his multiple visits to their campus, including a recent trip for a Junior Day event in January. Following his visit, Hill expressed admiration for the Gators, indicating a positive impression of the program.

“They most definitely made me feel like I was at home. Just seeing DJ Lagway working out, and how they treated him — seeing how they’re bringing in freshmen quarterbacks early and how they’re developing him and getting him ready for the SEC made me feel good.”

Lagway, a former five-star recruit, committed to Florida as part of Billy Napier’s 2024 class. While Hill may not boast the same level of acclaim, he remains a highly promising quarterback prospect.

Ranked as the No. 6 quarterback recruit in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings, Hill possesses significant potential that could bolster any team’s roster.
