The Florida Gators’ football program continues to expand its list of official visits as they intensify their pursuit of top high school prospects across the nation.

Joining the roster for the upcoming summer sessions is four-star defensive lineman Jarquez Carter from nearby Newberry, Florida, in the 2025 recruitment cycle.

Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 284 pounds, Carter, a formidable force in the trenches, has recently disclosed his official visit schedule to On3.

Kicking off his itinerary is a visit with the Orange and Blue on May 31st. Following this, he has visits lined up with the Penn State Nittany Lions on June 7th, UCF Knights on June 14th, and Miami Hurricanes on June 21st.

Carter has expressed admiration for the Florida Gators, speaking highly of his experiences with the program.

“I love the D-line coach they have. When I went there the last two times, he was showing me techniques and talking to my family and connecting with me. We talked about things outside of football. I love going to the games, the culture, the fans, listening to ‘Won’t Back Down’ after the third quarter and that feeling that you get when you go to the school. Also, me and most of the players have a connection.”

Ranked as a four-star prospect, Carter holds the No. 359 spot overall and No. 42 at his position nationally, according to the 247Sports composite. Meanwhile, On3’s industry ranking rates him as a three-star recruit, placing him at Nos. 390 and 32, respectively.

According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Florida Gators lead the pack with a 75.5% likelihood of signing Carter. Following closely are UCF (9.5%), Florida State Seminoles (4.6%), and Miami (2.3%).
