Alec Ogletree: 10 Tackles, 2 Pass Deflections, 2 Interceptions, 1 Touchdown
Alec Ogletree had himself one of those games that shows why the Giants traded for the former Los Angeles Rams linebacker. Ogletree made plays in the passing game, which is his strong suit.
Ogletree is an athletic freak that—at times—can be one of the best coverage linebackers in the league. He showed that right off the bat, making a heck of a play by intercepting a pass from Chase Daniel on the second play of the game.

Ogletree made the play while he was being blocked, but jumped up and tipped it to himself. The Giants linebacker would run it into the end zone to get New York off to a 7-0 start. Throughout the game, Ogletree was all over the field making plays.
His one weakness is in run support, where the Giants did hold the Bears to a 3.7 yards per carry. Jordan Howard led the Bears in rushing with 76 yards on 16 carries.
Ogletree had a second interception on the day in the second quarter. It was nice to see the Giants get a couple of turnovers—an area where they’ve struggled to produce many of. Hopefully Ogeltree can continue making plays in Week 14, when the Giants face the Redskins.
