Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has not exactly developed a huge fan club this season, as the youngster has struggled throughout his first year as the team’s full-time starter.

However, Love certainly has a supporter in Packers defensive lineman Rashan Gary, who came away impressed with Love’s performance during Green Bay’s Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

“Stop playing with that man,” Gary said while interrupting an on-field postgame interview with Love (via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic).

Gary’s playful remark came after Love led a six-play drive that ended in what ended up being the game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Romeo Doubs with 2:33 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Love and the Packers had struggled in close games all season long, with Love throwing multiple game-ending interceptions prior to the victory over the Chargers.

Obviously, this past Sunday represented a nice change of pace for Green Bay, and Gary was appreciative of Love’s efforts.

Love went 27-for-40 with 322 yards and a couple of touchdowns in the 23-20 victory in what may have been his best all-around outing of the season.

On the year overall, the 24-year-old has thrown for 2,331 yards, 16 touchdowns and 10 picks while completing 59.7 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 83.8.

It has been a topsy-turvy campaign for Love, to say the least.

The Utah State product got off to a strong start over the first three weeks, leading the Packers to a 2-1 record and totaling seven touchdown passes and just one interception during that span.

Green Bay then proceeded to lose four straight games due much in part to Love’s struggles, as he amassed four touchdowns and seven picks throughout that tenure.

Jordan Love has been better in recent weeks, and the Packers have looked stronger as a result, winning two of their last three contests.

Green Bay improved to 4-6 with its Week 11 triumph and will head on the road to battle the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.
