Blake Bortles Will Be in Top Half of the League for Completion Percentage
Much like his interception total, Bortles set a career-best for completion percentage in 2017. The scorned signal caller cracked 60 percent for the first time in his career.
The Jags sport a revamped wide receiver corps in 2018, with a healthy Dede Westbrook and aforementioned newcomers in Chark, Moncrief, and Sefarian-Jenkins. Don’t forget about 2017 receiving leader Keelan Cole and the veteran Marqise Lee.
With what I think will end up being the best receiver group of his career, Bortles will complete 63 percent of his passes in 2018, which should place him in the 14-17 range among NFL starters. The top half may not be eye-popping, but the Jaguars don’t need Bortles to win games for them, they just need him to not lose them singlehandedly.
