The Buffalo Bills may have beaten the Miami Dolphins by a score of 48-20 this past Sunday, but they suffered a massive loss in the process, as cornerback Tre’Davious White went down with a torn Achilles.

It’s just the latest bout of poor injury luck for White, who also tore his ACL back in 2021.

Following the news that White sustained a season-ending injury, Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey expressed his support for his fellow defensive back.

White logged three tackles in Week 4 before exiting. Through four games on the season overall, he totaled 12 tackles, an interception and a couple of passes defended.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was selected by the Bills with the 27th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He immediately started all 16 games for Buffalo during his rookie campaign and was impressive, finishing with 69 tackles, four picks, a forced fumble, a pair of fumble recoveries and 18 passes defended.

By Tre’Davious White’s third season, he was a Pro Bowler and a First-Team All-Pro after leading the league with six interceptions. He also added 58 stops, a sack, two forced fumbles and 17 passes defended. He made his second straight trip to the Pro Bowl the following year after posting 57 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three picks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and 11 passes defended.

As a result of injuries, the Shreveport, La. native has been limited to a grand total of 21 games over the last three seasons.

Ramsey, who himself has not yet played a game this season due to a torn meniscus, is one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks and is in his first season with the Dolphins after coming over in an offseason trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

The 28-year-old spent the first three-plus seasons of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being dealt to the Rams midway through the 2019 campaign.

Jalen Ramsey has made six consecutive Pro Bowl appearances and has also earned three First-Team All-Pro selections.

Both Buffalo and Miami are 3-1.
