The New York Jets are going whatever they can to make Aaron Rodgers feel at home with his new franchise. After spending the last 18 years with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers was traded to the Jets this offseason, which is the only team he wanted to play for.

The last few weeks have been full of moves and a number of them have been reuniting Rodgers with former coaches and teammates. New York hired Nathaniel Hackett to be their offensive coordinator, the same role he had with the Packers in 2020 and 2021, when Rodgers won MVP.

Player personnel wise, there will be a few familiar faces. Before he was even traded to the Jets, the team signed wide receiver Allen Lazard to a four-year, $44 million deal in free agency. After that, one of Rodgers’ favorite teammates during his career, wide receiver Randall Cobb, also joined the team.

Former Packers’ offensive lineman Billy Turner was also signed by the Jets. He gave some insight into how Rodgers was feeling, as he said it was the happiest the future Hall of Famer has been in a long time.

Now, another former teammate of Rodgers is joining the squad. However, unlike the others, this player is on the defensive side of the ball. Veteran safety Adrian Amos has agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million with the Jets according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Amos spent the last four seasons with the Packers after playing the first four of his career with the rival Chicago Bears. He was a steady performer for Green Bay, not missing a single came during his tenure with the team and playing nearly every defensive snap.

Amos is a solid addition to the Jets secondary, which also had Chuck Clark added earlier this offseason in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. Clark is currently listed as a starter along with Jordan Whitehead, giving the Jets a very solid trio to work with as their last line of defense.
