The Los Angeles Chargers are in need of a wide receiver after losing both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this offseason, and Nick Pedone of Pro Football Network thinks they should pursue Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham is still remaining on the free-agent market. He met with the Miami Dolphins and received a contract offer, but apparently, it wasn’t up to Beckham’s standard.

The 31-year-old is coming off of a disappointing 2023 campaign with the Baltimore Ravens in which he played 14 games and logged 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

Beckham, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the New York Giants with the 12th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Early on, it looked liked Beckham was going to stamp his name among the best receivers of all-time.

He made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons with the Giants, racking up over 1,300 yards each year. His best season came in 2017, when he hauled in 96 receptions for 1,450 yards and 13 scores.

Beckham spent the first five years of his career in New York, but over his last couple of seasons, injuries derailed him, and the Giants ultimately traded him to the Cleveland Browns.

He spent two-and-a-half underwhelming years with the Browns, posting just one 1,000-yard campaign. He was released midway through the 2021 season and went on to sign with the Los Angeles Rams for the rest of that campaign, where he would help the team win a Super Bowl.

Beckham then sat out all of 2022 before joining the Ravens last year.

Obviously, Odell Beckham Jr. is not even close to the player he once was, but for a team like the Chargers that is in dire need of weapons in their aerial attack, he may be of some assistance.
