Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans
Corey Davis was a hot prospect coming out of Western Michigan in the 2017 NFL Draft. Selected in the first-round by the Tennessee Titans, his future may have been sealed when the team found A.J. Brown last year, and he turned into a true potential number one receiver.
Now, three years in, Davis’ career is at a crossroads. He’ll either rebound nicely and carve out a contributing role with Ryan Tannehill, or he’ll likely be on the move in the next couple of years.
Why wait though? If the Titans receive a solid offer for Davis, they’ll likely be inclined to take it. Enter, the Minnesota Vikings.
While Davis is likely a third receiver in Tennessee, he’d be a – well – number three in Minnesota. Here’s where it makes sense though. He won’t cost the Vikings a day one pick, and he’s still got plenty of potential.
We’ve seen time and time again how a change of scenario sparks sudden growth in a young player. Davis might be that player, and adding him to the group of Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and Tajae Sharpe gives Minnesota a better chance at forming a solid receiving group.
