Josh Rosen, Miami Dolphins
Kirk Cousins will be 32-years old before the season starts, and while he isn’t over the hill just yet, he’s getting there. Most quarterbacks don’t tend to get better as they get deeper into their thirties, let’s put it that way.
Josh Rosen is a former first-round NFL Draft pick, moved in a sweeping regime change from one team without a real plan when they brought him in, to one trying to find it’s footing and future.
With The selection of Tua Tagovailoa, Rosen isn’t the future in Miami either. So where could he be? Well, there are plenty of potential spots. One writer even recommended Rosen become Tom Brady’s potential successor.
What about Minnesota though? Is Sean Mannion the way ahead if and when Cousins is done? Maybe Nate Stanley?
I’m actually a fan of Stanley’s and believe he could develop into a fully serviceable NFL quarterback. I wouldn’t put all my chips on him though either.
Like Davis before him, Rosen isn’t going to cost the Vikings day one draft capital. In fact, they might get him away from the Dolphins with day three capital and a role player.
In return, a determined quarterback who’s driven to prove everyone wrong could really add some fire to the Minnesota quarterbacks room.
