Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love had an excellent first season as the team’s starter. Replacing a legend such as Aaron Rodgers is no small task, but Love was up for it, helping get the Packers back into the postseason.

Green Bay earned the last Wild Card spot in the NFC and made some NFL history. They became the first No. 7 seed to advance in the postseason, defeating the Dallas Cowboys in blowout fashion, 48-32. The San Francisco 49ers defeated them in the Divisional Round, but the Packers have to feel good about their future outlook.

It is premature to say Love will follow in the footsteps of Rodgers and Brett Favre before him Canton, but it certainly looks as if Green Bay hit on a starting quarterback again. Love has earned the starting job with his performance and should fill that role for years to come.

NFL News & Rumors: Jordan Love & Green Bay Packers Updates

In 2023, he completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He added 50 rushes for 247 yards and four more scores, as he is enough of a threat on the ground that opponents need to keep an eye on him when he escapes the pocket.

What could the future hold for Love? Some NFL experts believe he is in for a huge 2023 campaign. One of those experts is Matt Bowen of ESPN, who believes that Love is going to win the MVP award next season.

“Love has a dynamic and versatile group of pass-catchers, plus a system that maximizes his throwing traits. He’s in position to produce high-end numbers for a championship-level team,” wrote Bowen.

That is in line with the other bold prediction Bowen made for that piece, as he also selected the Packers to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 59. Bowen wasn’t alone in predicting massive success for Love, as national NFL reporter Lindsey Thiry also selected him to win the award next season.

NFL News & Rumors: Jordan Love & Green Bay Packers Updates

“In his first season as a starter and surrounded by youth at the skill positions, Love surged from Week 11 on, leading the NFL in QBR, touchdown-to-interception ratio and combined touchdowns. Watch for Love to continue to progress and flourish under coach Matt LaFleur,” wrote Thiry.

The future is certainly bright in Green Bay, as they look to have hit on the most important position for the third time in a row. There are going to be a lot of accolades coming Love’s way, and success for the Packers, if he can carry over the production he had in the second half of the 2023 season.
