The inaugural season of the collaboration between the New York Jets and the esteemed quarterback Aaron Rodgers, destined for the Hall of Fame, didn’t unfold as envisioned by either party.

A setback emerged swiftly when Rodgers sustained a season-terminating Achilles injury in the team’s debut game. Nonetheless, it appears that Rodgers managed to leave a lasting impression, albeit not on the field, but rather off it.

In an interview conducted on Thursday evening at the NFL Honors awards ceremony in Las Vegas, Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets, shed light on Aaron Rodgers’ influence.

Despite criticism surrounding the extent of Rodgers’ impact on the team’s offense, even in his absence from the field, Johnson conveyed a message to Rodgers, emphasizing that his involvement had left a significantly positive impression rather than any sense of frustration.

“He has strong opinions on the way the team is built, and we are digesting exactly how to interpret that. You need an interpreter a little bit there, but I couldn’t be more impressed.”

Anticipations are high for Rodgers’ return to the lineup next season, following his complete recovery from the Achilles injury. The upcoming season will provide insights into how the offense operates under Rodgers’ leadership once again.

Hopefully, the former Green Bay Packers’ superstar will be able to regain full health. If he can, the New York Jets might be a sleeper team to watch in the AFC.
