Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Bold Prediction 1: Dak Prescott will have four touchdowns vs. Rams

The Rams’ defense has a lot of star power. However, with that star power comes a lot of holes at other positions. The Cowboys’ offense is filled to the brim with talent. They have three receivers who could very well be starters for many teams between Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and now CeeDee Lamb.

Dak Prescott will be able to slice and carve his way through this Rams defense on the ground and in the air. At the end of the day, he will have four total touchdowns and get off to a hot start for the Cowboys in a very important contract year.

Bold Prediction 2: Dak Prescott will have a completion percentage above 70 percent

While the presence of Jalen Ramsey is worrisome, he has had some issues in the past with quick twitchy receivers. Amari Cooper’s greatest asset is his route running ability. Even if he were to shut Cooper down, the Cowboys’ offense has two other quality wideouts and a back who has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy did an excellent job with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Look to see some of that success translate to Dak in Dallas and in the form of an efficient outing in the completion percentage department.

Final Word: Overall, Dak Prescott is a very good quarterback. He’s probably gotten too much hate over his career because he is the QB of the Cowboys. If you take his stats, he measures up to some of the league’s top arms, not just among the NFC East. Look for him to go out a silence some of those doubters this year on the quest for a massive contract extension.
