Bold Prediction 1: Daniel Jones will throw have more passing yards than Ben Roethlisberger

Daniel Jones was one of the more intriguing quarterbacks last year considering how up-and-down his performance was. During some games, he would light up the scoreboard. In others, he looked utterly lost with plenty of turnovers. However, that could be expected out of a rookie QB.

Coming into this season, the expectations will naturally be higher for Jones. With a fully healthy roster and a beefed-up offensive line, there are no excuses for him to struggle. He will answer the call, throwing for more yards than Ben Roethlisberger.

Bold Prediction 2: Daniel Jones will go turnover-free and help the Giants win in a close game

This is a surprising pick as most of my colleagues at NFL Analysis Network are picking the Steelers in this one. However, something about this Giants team screams sleeper to me. They have receivers who can make plays, a good young offensive line, and one of the best backs in the business in Saquon Barkley.

Ben Roethlisberger’s first game back from a serious injury scares me as well. If Daniel Jones plays mistake-free he could help this team get a surprising victory in Week 1. It would give the Giants real reason for confidence going forward considering the Steelers’ defense recorded the most takeaways in 2019 and Jones had a real issue with giveaways.

Final Word: At no point did Daniel Jones get to play with a healthy Giants offense last season. With a fully healthy roster, this offense may take a lot of people by surprise. It will all start with a Week 1 matchup with the Steelers, and while that’s difficult, he will still succeed.
