Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Will put up career best numbers

Early in his career, Kirk Cousins did not play on the best teams in Washington but he did put up big numbers. In 2016, Cousins threw for 4,917 yards with 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Since joining the Vikings, Cousins has cut down on his turnovers while still throwing for decent yardage. In 2020, he will have the best statistical season of his career.

Cousins spent three years as the full time starter in Washington before coming to the Vikings. He threw double-digit interceptions in every season. In 2018, Cousins threw the least amount of interceptions in his career (10) and the most touchdowns (30). He continued to improve last season throwing for 26 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Cousins will continue to grow and progress this season and put up huge numbers.

Lead Vikings to NFC North title, maybe beyond

The Vikings are desperate for a Super Bowl. They were one game away in 2017 when they were dominated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. The 2020 Vikings will enter the season with expectations after winning a playoff game in New Orleans last season.

Minnesota will feature a strong offense and elite defense. If Cousins improves even further, the team has a chance to make a run in the postseason. It will be gin by winning the NFC North. This will be a two team race between the Vikings and Packers. Green Bay finished three games head of Minnesota in 2019, but they were able to pull out close games week after week. Their luck could change this year.

Vikings’ fans are used to heartbreak and disappointment. It is only a matter of time before the team changes the narrative and makes a run to the Super Bowl. Could this be the year? That is uncertain because the NFC is extremely deep but the Vikings could accomplish a smaller goal and win the NFC North.
