RB Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry was the focal point of the Tennessee Titans’ playoff run last season and 2020 should be no different. Prior to the 2019 season, Henry was constantly joined at the hip, sharing the backfield with other rushers.
After last season where Henry posted a league-leading 1,540 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns, it’s safe to say the backfield is all his. The 247-pound back runs extraordinarily violent, busting his way through defenders on a regular basis.
Now that Tennessee has put themselves on the map as a legitimate playoff threat and brought back Ryan Tannehill under center, it appears their approach will be a similar one to the method they used last season — that includes a run-first gameplan.
According to Player Profiler, Henry ranked first in yards created — meaning he collected the most yards beyond his blockers among all running backs. Henry broke out in 2019 — potentially 2020 is the year he pleads his case for NFL MVP recognition.
