Tennessee Titans

The expectations surrounding the Tennessee Titans were not all that high heading into the start of the 2019 season. With Marcus Mariota as the starting quarterback, they got off to a slow start and ultimately posted a disappointing 2-4 record through six games.

The Titans’ 16-0 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 6 proved to be the final straw for Mariota to lose his starting job. The team rallied with Ryan Tannehill stepping in as they closed the season with an impressive 7-3 record, ultimately earning a Wild Card spot and ending in an AFC Championship Game appearance.

Much of the Titans’ offseason moves have been highlighted by signing Tannehill and elite running Derrick Henry to contract extensions, along with adding Vic Beasley. Tennesee did add intriguing talents like Isaiah Wilson and Kristian Fulton in the NFL Draft, too. So why are they on this list?

Simply put, it’s going to be a tall task for the Tennesse Titans to pull off making another appearance in the AFC Championship Game. By default, that would be considered taking a step back, but regardless, Tennessee projects as having a strong 2020 campaign.
