2. Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings
After a strange offseason that included a small holdout and contract demands, Dalvin Cook is ready to play in Week 1. The Vikings are going to need him to step up against an improved Green Bay Packers’ defense.
Aaron Jones was already mentioned on this list, but Cook is primed for an even bigger performance. Green Bay has a solid defense, but they are a bit weak up front with only Kenny Clark as a quality run-stopper on the line. They also have a fairly weak linebacker corps.
Cook is going to put up big numbers for the Vikings this week. It would be reasonable to expect around 120 yards and two scores on the ground. He will also be involved in the passing game, although nothing huge should be expected.
Minnesota has a quality passing game, but Stefon Diggs is no longer in town. They are going to look to establish the ground game early and Cook will find quite a bit of success.
