Josiah Deguara, Tight End, Green Bay Packers
Finally, the Green Bay Packers addressed their need at tight end in the third round with the selection of Cincinnati’s Josiah Deguara. Not only could the rookie find a role as a tight end, he also could be used as a fullback to help replace Dan Vitale, who left in free agency for the New England Patriots.
Deguara may not be the biggest target for a tight end at 6-foot-2 and just under 240 pounds, but he will bring speed and the ability to play multiple positions.
During the 2019 season with the Bearcats, Deguara ended up catching 39 passes for 504 yards and seven touchdowns. Those numbers don’t show star potential, but Deguara could end up being a very solid all-around piece for the Packers’ offense.
Matt LaFleur loves utilizing tight ends and fullbacks, which bodes well for Deguara. Aaron Rodgers also loves targeting tight ends. Deguara is in a perfect position to start his career and has a ton of room to grow.
