NFL Analyst Expecting Big Season From This Jets Playmaker

The New York Jets have some big expectations heading into 2024, much like last season.

Of course, the Jets are hoping for better results (and better luck) this time around.

Last year, New York acquired Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers, but Rodgers ended up tearing his Achilles on the Jets’ first offensive drive of the regular season.

Now, Rodgers appears to be healthy, and New York has supplied him with some terrific weapons in order to maximize his performance.

ESPN’s Mina Kimes is particularly looking at running back Breece Hall, who she anticipates is going to have a terrific year.

Kimes notes how impressive Hall was in 2023 in spite of the fact that the odds were stacked against him.

The Jets had a miserable offensive line, a poor situation at quarterback and very limited weapons in general overall. Yet, Hall still managed to rush for 994 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Plus, he hauled in 76 receptions for 591 yards and four scores.

Fortunately for Hall, New York has improved its offensive line and added a couple of receivers this offseason, signing Mike Williams and drafting Malachi Corley. Those two wide outs will join Garrett Wilson to comprise what should be a formidable trio of pass-catchers.

All of this should open things up for Hall and make his job a heck of a lot easier moving forward, and he could be in for his first 1,000-yard campaign as a result.

Hall, who played his collegiate football at Iowa State, was selected by the Jets in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He seemed to be on track for a solid rookie campaign, totaling 463 yards and four touchdowns while logging a robust 5.8 yards per attempt through seven games, but he tore his ACL, prematurely ending his season.

Hopefully, Hall can stay healthy in 2024. A big year could be in the books for him if he does.
