The New Orleans Saints are gearing up for a 2020 season that could potentially feature a Super Bowl run. One player that will play a pivotal role in that potential success is starting running back Alvin Kamara.
There’s an additional meaning for next season from Kamara’s perspective. He is entering the final season of his rookie contract and will be positioning himself for a lucrative extension with the Saints, or potentially sign elsewhere in free agency.
During the final season of Kamara’s current deal, he is set to earn just $2.1 million. It’s safe to say that will go up substantially on his next deal, but will it be the Saints that he signs such a contract with?
Kamara is coming off possibly his worst season since entering the NFL but was still quite productive, nevertheless. In 14 performances, he totaled 252 total touches resulting in 1,330 yards from scrimmage and six combined touchdowns.
With that being said, here are five teams who should make a run at Alvin Kamara next offseason.
