Green Bay Packers
It may sound strange for a team that currently has Aaron Jones in the backfield heading into 2020 being listed as a possible landing spot for Alvin Kamara. It’s important to note, Jones will also be a free agent next offseason and it’s no guarantee he returns to Green Bay.
Managing to sign Kamara as a replacement in the event of Jones’ departure would help the Packers stay afloat. There would be a legitimate stylistic difference in Green Bay’s offense as a result, adding versatility in the passing game out of the backfield for Aaron Rodgers.
There will not be a significant amount of salary cap spending room for the Packers to work with next offseason. However, the importance of a dynamic running back to its offense has become vital and being aggressive with spending to have one in Kamara would make sense.
