Chris Ballard and the Colts are likely going to do whatever it takes to keep TY Hilton on the roster. Losing him would be very detrimental to their future plans. Indianapolis has been home for Hilton throughout his entire NFL career, which absolutely gives them the upper hand.

If the Colts are willing to offer Hilton a lucrative extension, there is a good chance that the star receiver will never hit the open market. However, there are some concerns that the team may not offer him what he is asking for.

Indianapolis needs to put forward an aggressive offer before free agency opens next offseason. There are other ways for them to keep him as well, but locking Hilton up long-term is the best option. Look for the Colts to try to do that.
