NFL Free Agency 2021: 5 way-too-early landing spots for T.Y. Hilton

San Francisco 49ers

Finally, we’re looking a bit outside the box for this last potential TY Hilton destination. The 49ers were the best team in the NFC in 2019 and are expected to be a Super Bowl contender once again in 2020. However, they might need some help offensively moving forward.

Emmanuel Sanders left town in free agency this offseason, leaving the 49ers with Deebo Samuel, Kendrick Bourne, Dante Pettis, and Brandon Aiyuk at wide receiver. While there are some great young talents in that group, adding a star like Hilton might be of interest to John Lynch and company.

Jimmy Garoppolo needs all the weapons he can get. San Francisco will have to spend money to keep their defense intact, but they may view adding another offensive playmaker as a need as well. If that is the case, the 49ers are absolutely a potential landing spot that could offer Hilton a chance at a ring.
